Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, Friends! We’re in Florida on a mini work/vacation! I hope that you’ve had a wonderful week & are ready for the weekend! Tonight we are attending a Christmas party on the beach! Be sure to follow along on Instagram!

Here’s another edition of “Friday Favorites” for you!

ONE
Tucker + Tate Pajamas

I love getting the boys matching pajamas, especially for the holidays. The Tucker + Tate brand is so classic. Every season they come out with some really good stuff from clothing to shoes. Get the pajamas early, as the cute ones sell out fast!

TWO
NEST Holiday Candle

These would make such a great gift. The absolute best candles.

THREE
Kate Spade New York Earrings

Oh, Kate…bows & pearls? Such a chic combination.

FOUR
Native Union TAG Charger

This is such a brilliant gift idea for the busy guys in your life. They can attach it to their briefcase or keychain, and they’re never without power when they need it the most!

Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree

I wanted this cape dress to be the official start of the holidays for Fancy Says Have A Ball. When I saw this on J.Crew, a few months ago, I knew I had to buy it, especially since it was on sale at the time. This is a dress that will take you from one Christmas party to the next. It’s great because you don’t have to wear a coat (or in most cases, keep up with one) to a party. It’s a classic sheath dress topped off with a cape & a bow. What could be better you say? I can’t think of anything more chic to take you into the holiday season.
I am a firm believer in giving each holiday “it’s own time;” however, this Town & Country article pretty much validated that it’s never too early to get into the Christmas spirit. Do you agree? Either way, I can’t wait to unbox all of our decorations, start our Christmas shopping & spread holiday cheer & happiness wherever I go. Thank you, Mom & Dad for a wonderful childhood of memories of Christmas (& Thanksgiving).

Happy Monday & Early Thanksgiving, Everyone!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, Friends! We’re finally feeling the crisp, cooler temperatures here, and we’re loving every minute of it. I was so excited about it, that last Sunday, I made a huge pot of homemade chili. Thank you Mom for the best recipe! I’ll post the recipe soon on the blog.

Here’s another edition of “Friday Favorites” for you!

ONE
Velvet Bow Ponytail Holder

If you have long hair, and are short on time, just dress up your ponytail with a bow this holiday season. It’s the perfect finishing touch, and oh so chic!

TWO
Accent Decor Boxwood Wreath

I love decorating with preserved boxwood. I have a little bit all over our house with wreaths & topiaries. You can top this gorgeous wreath off with a bow that matches your Christmas decor, then just hang it on a large mirror or on the back of your front door! I would recommend hanging it inside, since it will not hold up against the outside elements.  You can change the bow out from season to season, too.

THREE
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact

I’m a big fan of this highlighter. I use it year round for the prettiest glow.

FOUR
J.Crew Lace Pants

These lace pants are great for the holiday parties/dinners on your calendar. The best part? They have an elastic waist (shhhh…I won’t tell, if you don’t tell!) I’m pretty sure I haven’t had a pair of pants with an elastic waistband since the 5th grade, except for leggings. Thank you J.Crew for combining style & comfort this holiday season! Ha!

Monday, Monday

With the holidays in full swing it feels as though my head is spinning with feeling like I have a million things to do, and not enough time to do them. Do you ever feel that way? Of course, we all do. Either way, what doesn’t get done, can wait, and I plan to relax and enjoy the entire holiday season. This is going to be a busy, fun Thanksgiving and Christmas, and I cannot wait.

So, for today, I’ll share with you my random thoughts as of right now.

christmas_decor
First, I am holding back every ounce that I can to wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas. Every time I see a house already decorated I try to justify it in my head to “go ahead,” however, the “traditionalist” in me won’t allow it. I know I need to wait, even though for me, Christmas is the happiest time of year. My parents made every Christmas truly “magical” for me, and I hope that my husband and I can do the same for our children. I will admit, I am already listening to Bing Crosby in the car. My husband is an incredibly patient man…

This has been my “go-to” look during the daytime as of late. I am all about denim, cozy sweaters, cute flats and a fabulous coat! It’s chic, yet still in style, just way more relaxed than I’ve ever been. I’ve got a feeling I’ll be living in this look all season long for shopping, play dates, etc. Although, don’t worry – I’m still looking forward to getting all dolled up for holiday parties! What seems to be your “go-to” daytime look lately?

 cheese plate_christmas_tree
A Christmas tree cheese plate! How happy is this idea? I came across this on Pinterest the other day. I’ll definitely be making this for any dinners at our house, and it would even be fun if you’re hosting a playgroup, too! The kids would love this…

And last, but not least…always a good reminder.
