Loving Lately

Happy Wednesday, Friends! I wanted to drop in and say “hi!” during the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. I’m really trying to slow down & truly enjoy the “moments of the season.” I hope that you & yours are doing the same as well!
Instead of giving you another “gift guide,” I thought I’d share with you a few things that I’m “loving lately” for a little bit of a lighter post. I don’t know about you, but sometimes reading all of these “gift guide” posts starts to stress me out about all of the things I have left to do on my list. Anyone else feel this way? Of course, we’re all looking for the perfect gifts for our loved ones (and having help is amazing), but sometimes it’s nice to stumble upon that “perfect gift” on our own, and get that really excited feeling knowing that “yes, this is it, they’ll love it.”

These mules are the most comfortable pair of flats that I’ve ever worn. So worth the $24.99! They come in a blush color as well!

Leopard-print Cup

How happy is this cup? I LOVE coffee/tea, & pretty much always have a cup of coffee in my hand (or one that I’m re-heating multiple times a day), so what better way to make it more fun & girly, right?

Moroccan Oil Dry Shampoo

My hair stylist introduced me to this dry shampoo, and oh my, it not only smells heavenly, it works beautifully too!

Hallmark Christmas Movies
I’ve been watching this channel non-stop in the evenings! My poor husband! I literally know what’s going to happen within the first 5 minutes, but I STILL end up watching the entire cheesy movie until the end and even cry, every time! I’ve been watching this movie channel for many, many years. I love feel good movies, especially centered around the magic of Christmas, and I know that I owe my husband a lot of his movie picks after the holidays are over! Poor guy!

Kate Spade 2018 Planner

These planners are great (tons of space available to actually write), and I still write everything down. Old school, I know. I think this is a fun one, even though I actually make a point not to be late. However, if I’m late, it IS probably because I’ve changed my outfit a few too many times. I’ve been guilty of this since the second grade! SO, this might be the planner for next year.

Paper Source Tea Towels

Our oldest is obsessed with puppy dogs, so these “happy howl-iday” tea towels make us pretty darn happy everyday in the kitchen! (I also happen to be pretty obsessed with dogs, too!)

I think I have to ask Santa for this for Christmas. In one of my Nordstrom orders, I received a sample of this, and it smells amazing. Even my husband noticed how good it smells, which says something!

Loving Lately

Happy Wednesday, Friends! I hope you’re having a great week so far. I read online the other day that there are only 10 more Sundays until Fall? Wow. Not going to lie, I’m kind of getting excited. Ha! Today’s actually my husband’s birthday (also the sweet guy behind the camera of this blog), so we’re prepping for his birthday dinner celebration all day! It’s so cute, our oldest gets pretty excited to help with everything when it comes to birthdays, well, everything really. I adore his enthusiasm about life!

In the meantime, I thought I’d round up a few favorites that I’m loving lately for you!

I cannot say enough great things about this top. It’s incredibly flattering, and it comes in 4 colors. I have the first version (stripe), and I’m thinking about adding the white or the gingham next.

Pompoms on a sweatshirt? So fun, and easy to throw on with shorts or whatever you’re wearing really. I’m always cold, so this would be perfect to take everywhere during the day.

This is so pretty and perfect for a date night. A great layering top for Fall.

Lately – A Few Favorites

Happy Tuesday, Friends! It’s raining here today, so we’re getting a lot of stuff done around the house. It’s kind of a nice break, and a good excuse to get things done that we tend to put off when it’s nice outside.

I wanted to share with y’all a few of my favorites lately. It’s always fun to find out about products others like, so here’s the scoop on a few of mine.

Shampoo & Conditioner

Since I don’t wash my hair that often, I don’t mind spending a little bit more on this shampoo & conditioner. It leaves my hair feeling soft and shiny, without feeling heavy at all. I wash my hair like twice a week these days, and use this dry shampoo on the days I don’t for a refresh.

Sumatra Keurig Coffee K-Cups

My husband and I love our coffee in the morning, who doesn’t, right? Well, lately, we’ve been loving this coffee. We added it to our monthly subscription of diapers, etc. It’s that good, and strong.

Bell Sleeve Top

This top has been on repeat a lot lately. I bought it months ago, but I love putting it on when I’m in a rush in the morning. It’s so lightweight, so it’s a great option for Summer.

Pixie Eyeliner

I’ve tried a lot of eyeliners in my day, and this one just keeps winning in my book.

Hello Again!

Happy Weekend, Friends & “Hello!” again!

I know it seems as though I’ve taken a bit of a break from my blog, and you’d be correct, I have. Please know I’ve missed it terribly, but all for good reason, as we’re expecting our second twinkle toes in early January! We couldn’t be more excited and grateful for this little blessing! The first trimester was pretty tough, as in extreme exhaustion, so when my little one would nap, I would to…a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.

Good news for you guys, is that this time around I’m really not focusing on buying any maternity clothing, if I can’t help it. I have a lot leftover from my last pregnancy, as well as some hand me downs (thanks, Sis!). I’m still fitting in my non-maternity pants/shorts, tops and dresses at 4 months…thank goodness! We’ll see how long that lasts. ha!

So, I thought I would round up a few things that I’ve been loving lately for you!

Off the Shoulder Top – Tuckernuck
I have this top in pink (you may have seen it on my Instagram), and LOVE IT. It’s so classic, and it’s a longer top. It might be too long to wear with shorts, but it’s perfect paired with white denim (what I wore on a date night recently!) and skinny pants of any kind! Such a fun & flirty top. It’s also got a lot of growing room for the belly!;)

Linen Drawstring Trousers
These pants are so comfortable and chic. I typically wouldn’t buy anything orange; however, they go great with a lot of my tops, and the relaxed look is really nice for Summer.

Factory Graphic floral one-piece swimsuit

This was my first swimsuit from j.crew factory, and it didn’t disappoint. In the years past, I’ve always bought my suits from J.Crew. I keep them forever because they’re that good. This suit is perfect for a growing belly. It’s my first one-piece in a LONG time, and I love it, especially while chasing a toddler!:) The bright colors/print just makes me happy as well!

Off-the-shoulder dress – J.Crew

I’ve had my eye on this dress for awhile now, and may have to get it. I love the off-the-shoulder dress look, as well as the print, but I worry I won’t be able to wear it that much longer this Summer.

Voluspa ‘Maison Blanc – Gardenia Candle

This candle has made my kitchen smell amazing. The scent reminds me of my childhood. My parents have a screened in porch, and I can remember endless conversations with my parents while smelling the gardenias in bloom right outside off of the porch. It really is the little things in life that matter the most.

Loving Lately

It’s always fun to discover things that other people are loving right now, so I thought I would share with you some things that I’m loving lately. These are random, so bare with me. What are some things that you’re loving lately?

Smoothies

I feel like they start my day off on the right foot. I will make them for my husband and I most mornings now, but we’ve found that our little one likes them just as much as we do. I typically mix up one granny smith apple, 2 or 3 tablespoons of Greek yogurt, one banana, 4-5 strawberries, 1/2 cup of milk, a handful of ice and sometimes I add flax. It’s a great way to get your fruit in for the day.

Roku

This has been an awesome investment for us. Between my husband working late in the evenings and the little one’s bedtime, we just can’t seem to catch our shows during the actual time they’re on air. So, we use our Roku. It’s awesome. You decide when you want to watch it. We also have Netflix streaming on our Roku as well (thanks to my brother adding us to his share plan! Thanks big bro!) It’s really convenient for us, and we love it.

Patio Dinners

When the weather is nice, my husband and I will take our dinner and a glass of wine outside. We plug the baby monitor in, and talk about our days. (We also do this on the weekend mornings too, just with our coffee). It makes for a great date night for us at home, just outdoors! We definitely are lighting our citronella candle these days, but it is so worth it to see the sun go down in the evenings together. We do go on date nights occasionally, but we’re such homebodies, so the ones at home are perfect, too!

Gardening

This year I’ve finally had time to do a little bit of gardening. My Mom is the only reason why I know what I’m doing though. She is my go-to when it comes to plants, where they should go in the yard, and how to take care of them. I even enjoy watering all of the flowers/shrubs in the evenings, too. I hope I can be half as good as my Mom is one day in the garden. I remember as a kid, dreading going to the nurseries with her because I would have rather been playing with my friends at home, and I thought to myself “I’m not going to do this to my kids.” Well, I have to say, I’ve now taken my little one to the nursery several times, and I am so turning into my Mom in so many ways! I laugh about it a lot, but turning into my Mom is the best thing in the world. I now understand her love of gardening. The pretty blooms make me so happy.

Blogging

I knew in my heart that I always wanted to start a fashion blog, and after I quit my job as a Senior Copywriter in the fashion world to be at home with my little one, I decided it was time. It was well overdue in fact. I love that I get to continue writing, and combine my creative side in photography/fashion. It’s the perfect outlet for me, and hopefully I am inspiring others along the way. I am excited that I’ll be adding more “Outfit Posts” soon, too! I love styling outfits. So stay tuned my friends.
