Wednesday Wish List

Happy Wednesday, and Spring! It’s currently cold & rainy here today, but that’s not going to stop me from dreaming of warmer temperatures. And, with Easter literally right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to think about what classics to add to your closet. Easter is one of my absolute favorite holidays!

Here are a few fun things that I’m wanting/wishing to add to my closet for Spring.

J.Crew Striped Halter Jumpsuit

This halter jumpsuit is really flattering, and chic. Dress it up for a date night, or wear it with casual sandals during the daytime.

AG Jodi High Waist Crop Jeans

I really like the style of these white jeans. I love the cropped look for Spring/Summer. AG is one of the best fitting brands.

Crocheted Lace Flutter Top

This blouse is so adorable. Such an easy, breezy top to wear for everyday.

Ruffled Crossover Back Blouse

I love this poppy red color, and the design. It would be so pretty dressed up or down!

BP. Ruffle Sleeve Off the Shoulder Top

I love most anything in gingham, and this off the shoulder top is perfect for a date night.

Circle Eyelet Flounce Top

You can’t go wrong with eyelet & peplum, and it’s really classic looking in black!

Maggy London Lace Flare Hem Midi Dress

This dress would be stunning for Easter. The fit is flattering, too. Love the longer length, since I’m 5’10.

Pompom Sandals

H.E.L.L.O! These are just gorgeous!!

Espadrilles

You can’t go wrong with a classic, casual shoe for running around, and this one fits the bill for Spring/Summer.

How fun are these earrings? A little bit modern, and a little bit classic!

Happy Friday! It’s been a fast week over here, but a good one! Hope you’re looking forward to the weekend!

This dress is gorgeous! Love the ruffle finish. It comes in 3 other colors, but I love the classic ivory for Spring!

Madewell Studio Ruffle Hem Top

This top is so feminine & cute for Spring! I love the stripes. It would look great with your everyday jeans & white jeans too. Such an easy, breezy top to take you into the warmer months!

Steve Madden Carrson Sandals

These heels are pretty high, but I fell in love with the blush velvet color. They’d be so much fun to dress up for a night out or church!

FIVE
NARS Larger Than Life Long Wear Eyeliner

This is the BEST eyeliner I’ve ever used! So many melt away after a few hours, which leaves you reapplying throughout your day. I can honestly tell you it actually stays on for the entire day!

Classic “Everyday” Style

Happy Tuesday, Friends! This is what I would call my “everyday” style. It’s an outfit that is put together, comfortable (currently a very important factor for chasing two little ones), & of course it’s a “look” made up of what I consider the “classics.”
During the week, you’ll mostly find me in a pair of chic flats, something like these, these or these; however, if we’re out and about on the weekend (like pictured above – we had just been out to lunch with our boys!), I’ll throw on something more fun, like these mules. And, to think I used to wear heels everyday before kids! Right now, my heels are reserved for church or date nights out. These are my new favorite pair of mules right now, mostly because the natural nubuck color goes with every outfit I wear, and the best part is that they come in 3 additional colors! Oh, and let’s not forget to talk about this bow sweater that’s a complete designer dupe. It’s so cute! It comes in 6 colors, too. I’m thinking of also adding the grey color to my closet right now.

T.G.I.F!! It’s cold & rainy outside (they’re even calling for a little bit of snow here, crazy!) today. I’ve been busy (who isn’t, right?) with doing all sorts of happy Christmas things for our boys, and I’ve also been trying to finish up some Christmas shopping too. Time is flying by over here. Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree

I wanted this cape dress to be the official start of the holidays for Fancy Says Have A Ball. When I saw this on J.Crew, a few months ago, I knew I had to buy it, especially since it was on sale at the time. This is a dress that will take you from one Christmas party to the next. It’s great because you don’t have to wear a coat (or in most cases, keep up with one) to a party. It’s a classic sheath dress topped off with a cape & a bow. What could be better you say? I can’t think of anything more chic to take you into the holiday season.
I am a firm believer in giving each holiday “it’s own time;” however, this Town & Country article pretty much validated that it’s never too early to get into the Christmas spirit. Do you agree? Either way, I can’t wait to unbox all of our decorations, start our Christmas shopping & spread holiday cheer & happiness wherever I go. Thank you, Mom & Dad for a wonderful childhood of memories of Christmas (& Thanksgiving).

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, Friends! We’re finally feeling the crisp, cooler temperatures here, and we’re loving every minute of it. I was so excited about it, that last Sunday, I made a huge pot of homemade chili. Thank you Mom for the best recipe! I’ll post the recipe soon on the blog.

I love decorating with preserved boxwood. I have a little bit all over our house with wreaths & topiaries. You can top this gorgeous wreath off with a bow that matches your Christmas decor, then just hang it on a large mirror or on the back of your front door! I would recommend hanging it inside, since it will not hold up against the outside elements. You can change the bow out from season to season, too.

These lace pants are great for the holiday parties/dinners on your calendar. The best part? They have an elastic waist (shhhh…I won’t tell, if you don’t tell!) I’m pretty sure I haven’t had a pair of pants with an elastic waistband since the 5th grade, except for leggings. Thank you J.Crew for combining style & comfort this holiday season! Ha!

Ruffles + A Bow

Dressing lately has been a little bit tricky since we’ve had a “warm front” during the day time these past few weeks. I’m so ready for boots, cozy sweaters & chic coats, but if you look on the bright side, I will say, it’s a great excuse to wear my Summer tops a little longer. However, I was pretty happy that the temperatures cooled down at night, so I could wear this cute, little bow front coat for our evening out with friends. All in all, it was a perfect outfit for the best double date uptown.

Date Night – Navy Ruffles

There’s nothing I love more than getting “all dressed up” for a date night out! The best part about wearing a monochromatic look like this one, is that I get to add fun accessories. You know, all of the ones in my closet & jewelry box that aren’t so practical while toting two little ones around. My everyday jewelry consists of pearl studs, my gold watch & my favorite bracelet. There are so many great statement earrings right now, and gorgeous clutches to finish any date night look.

T.G.I.F!! I hope that everyone had a great week, and is ready the weekend. If you follow me on Instagram, then you already know that we’ve been fighting colds all week, and are finally on the mend. Thank goodness!

We hosted my parents for dinner last Sunday, and I decided to make Southern Living’s “Pumpkin Crisp” recipe. It was so easy to make, and it was delicious!

Since we have two boys, we are able to hand down a lot of clothes to our youngest (thankfully); however, I still like to add a few pieces that are purely his own. This jacket is the absolute cutest, and is definitely being added to his closest! They’re only little once!

FOUR
Pompom Canvas Storage Baskets

Trust me, I absolutely love seeing the boys having fun, playing & using their imaginations with their toys all over the house; however, I also love to tidy it all up every.single.night. It actually relaxes me, I know, I’m totally weird. I am sort of a neat freak, and that’s why these little baskets are a dream. Baskets that are cute & functional, two of my favorite qualities!
