Summer Blue & White

School may be right around the corner (which typically makes me only want to think about Fall, no matter how old I get), and Summer is still hot, literally, so that’s why these pants are the right pick for attempting to beat the heat. I love my skinny pants & jeans; however, these wide leg, cropped pants fit the bill when I need to hit the refresh button. They’re on sale, and an alternative to shorts, which I rarely wear anymore. These and these are also great options to choose from, if you like this cropped/wide leg style as much as I do.
I bought this classic top from Loft during a Spring sale, but there are so many great look-alikes out there, like this, this and this one! This one is embroidered, and a great deal to wear now, & put in your closet for next year, too! These kinds of tops are perfect “no-brainer” tops to wear with pretty much everything in your closet.

Spring! Spring! Spring!

Happy Spring, Everyone!

Our wedding anniversary is the first day of Spring, so that makes this time of year extra, extra special for us!!

Easter is this weekend, and I can’t wait to see our little one see the Easter basket, and hunt for eggs after church! So excited!

You can’t go wrong with an easy, breezy dress like this for Spring. I just added this to my closet, and I can’t wait to wear it on warmer, sunny days.

Sleeveless Flounce Top

Polka dots are one of my favorite prints, so this one was definitely added to my closet. This is perfect worn with a blazer or alone. It’s on major sale right now, too!

English Factory Dress

This dress is even more gorgeous in person! It’s so soft, and the fit is true to size. I think I’m going to have this one on repeat this Spring/Summer!

This is so so cute. It think it would be a great date night top. Right now, it’s 30% off. Better order it fast!

Diamond Lace Swing Top

This top is even more beautiful in person. I actually wore it on our 6 year anniversary date night last weekend. I styled it with my navy skinny dress pants from jcrew and nude suede pumps (kicking myself for not taking a photo of us for instagram!) I might have to get it in white as well. It’s that good!

St. Anne Spring Monogram Tote

I’m so in love with the new St. Anne Tote Spring styles from Barrington Gifts. I love the baby bag I’ve had for a few years now, but this is the design (above) I’m leaning towards now! So many fun color options to choose from. I’m pretty sure I’ll be redesigning it again and again, but I’m definitely making it my new Spring bag!

These are A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E!!! I would put them in our guest room where we have 2 twin beds. Such a happy print. Don’t you think?

Blue and White

I’ve also had a lot of luck lately in finding more blue and white for our house at HomeGoods! I stocked up this past weekend for our dining room sideboard (found 4 ginger jars/vases in various sizes, all under $30!). I have them in our kitchen, den, dining room & master bedroom. To say I’m obsessed is a bit of an understatement!

Decorating – Blue & White

I consider myself very “traditional” when it comes to decorating. I get it from my Mom. She has exquisite style and taste when it comes to dressing and decorating; therefore, like Mother, like daughter, I inherited her style. And, thank goodness I did.

As for decorating our house, she taught me the art of symmetry and balance. I always buy décor in “pairs.”

When we registered for our everyday china pattern, my husband and I both fell in love with the “Mandarin Blue” collection by Lauren Ralph Lauren.

Since, then I’ve been able to find several discontinued pieces of our pattern like vases, cookie jars, and candlesticks at HomeGoods. My Mom always calls me and says “I found more…” and I tell her “grab them, please!” Now, I’ll be the first to admit, other than our everyday pattern, I don’t like a lot of blue and white décor, but I do like it sprinkled in ” here and there” around the house. Too much of a good thing is not good, in my opinion. If you’re lucky, you can find some really great buys on blue and white ginger jars, bowls, vases and more at HomeGoods. That’s the place to hunt for them. When you see one, grab it, because they go fast. I recently found a blue and white bowl for $24.99. It now resides on our sideboard in our foyer. It’s a piece we’ll love for years. The “hunt” for these pieces is half of the fun!
