Wednesday Wish List

Happy Wednesday, and Spring! It’s currently cold & rainy here today, but that’s not going to stop me from dreaming of warmer temperatures. And, with Easter literally right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to think about what classics to add to your closet. Easter is one of my absolute favorite holidays!

Here are a few fun things that I’m wanting/wishing to add to my closet for Spring.

J.Crew Striped Halter Jumpsuit

This halter jumpsuit is really flattering, and chic. Dress it up for a date night, or wear it with casual sandals during the daytime.

AG Jodi High Waist Crop Jeans

I really like the style of these white jeans. I love the cropped look for Spring/Summer. AG is one of the best fitting brands.

Crocheted Lace Flutter Top

This blouse is so adorable. Such an easy, breezy top to wear for everyday.

Ruffled Crossover Back Blouse

I love this poppy red color, and the design. It would be so pretty dressed up or down!

BP. Ruffle Sleeve Off the Shoulder Top

I love most anything in gingham, and this off the shoulder top is perfect for a date night.

Circle Eyelet Flounce Top

You can’t go wrong with eyelet & peplum, and it’s really classic looking in black!

Maggy London Lace Flare Hem Midi Dress

This dress would be stunning for Easter. The fit is flattering, too. Love the longer length, since I’m 5’10.

Pompom Sandals

H.E.L.L.O! These are just gorgeous!!

You can’t go wrong with a classic, casual shoe for running around, and this one fits the bill for Spring/Summer.

BaubleBar Hoop Earrings

How fun are these earrings? A little bit modern, and a little bit classic!

J.Crew Leopard Print Pajamas

Who doesn’t love a new pair of pajamas? And, in leopard print? Yes, please!

What’s on your “wish list?”

Have a happy day!

Friday Favorites

Hi, Friends! Happy Friday! I know it’s been awhile since I’ve written a blog post (about one month to be exact, but who’s counting? Hopefully, only me!), but the social media/internet “break” was just what this busy Mama of two needed. Sometimes it’s really nice to truly “unplug,” and recharge. Anyone else feel this way? However, with that said, I want to thank y’all for your continued support, and coming to this fun, little space of mine. I absolutely love blogging, and inspiring you with great content, and I’m really excited about the fun posts I have planned for you!

So, for now, here’s another edition of “Friday Favorites” for you.
A little shopping, and decorating fun! Enjoy!

Eliza J Crochet Overlay Dress

Easter is April 1st, and this would be a gorgeous dress for church!

J.Crew Stella Bow Sandals

J.Crew had me at “pink & bows!”

Kate Somerville Goat Milk De-Puffing Eye Balm

This stuff is absolutely amazing, and I can use all of the help I can get for tired eyes.

Sole Society Suede Foldover Clutch

Love the simplicity of this clutch. Perfect for a date night! It also comes in a blush pink.

J.Crew Earrings

How colorful & fun are these earrings? Talk about making a statement!

ALLSTATE Moss Bunny Figurine

I love bunnies! They’re so cute, happy, and remind me of our wedding day. Our anniversary is the first day of Spring! These would be adorable for an Easter tablescape!

Jellycat Bunny Soother

Our boys love their “lovies,” and they make such great baby gifts! I usually monogram them at a local boutique, after I buy them to make a more personal gift.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! It’s been a fast week over here, but a good one! Hope you’re looking forward to the weekend!

Here’s another edition of “Friday Favorites!” for you! These are just a few things that have caught my eye lately. After reading this post, you’ll be able to tell that I’m definitely thinking about Spring!

BaubleBar Eve Beaded Drop Earrings

These earrings are so pretty, and will go with so many outfits. They come in 2 other colors.

J.Crew Yass One-Shoulder Ruffle Dress

This dress is gorgeous! Love the ruffle finish. It comes in 3 other colors, but I love the classic ivory for Spring!

Madewell Studio Ruffle Hem Top

This top is so feminine & cute for Spring! I love the stripes. It would look great with your everyday jeans & white jeans too. Such an easy, breezy top to take you into the warmer months!

Steve Madden Carrson Sandals

These heels are pretty high, but I fell in love with the blush velvet color. They’d be so much fun to dress up for a night out or church!

NARS Larger Than Life Long Wear Eyeliner

This is the BEST eyeliner I’ve ever used! So many melt away after a few hours, which leaves you reapplying throughout your day. I can honestly tell you it actually stays on for the entire day!

J.Crew Pajamas

How happy are these for Valentine’s day/Spring?

Happy Weekending!

Friday Favorites

Hello Everyone! Thank goodness it’s Friday, right? I still can’t believe it’s February. Can you? This year is flying by, but I’m trying to stay in the moment each day, especially with our little ones!

Here’s another edition of “Friday Favorites” for you!

Stripe Ruffle Top

Classic stripes with a twist! This top is really feminine with the updated sleeves. Love the pop of red for this time of year!

Jeffrey Campbell Mules

I’ve had my eye on this pair of heels for awhile now. I love the cherry red color, and they’d be really chic for date nights!

Cult Gaia Mini Ark Handbag

This is a great date night clutch for the Spring/Summer months!

Faux Fur Scarf

Since the cooler temperatures are around for a little bit longer, this is such a pretty faux fur scarf!

Love this message/print from one of my favorite local artists, Evelyn Henson.

Happy Weekending, Friends!

Classic “Everyday” Style

Halogen Bow Back Sweater / J.Crew Coat / Jeans / Dolce Vita Mules / Kate Spade Watch (similar) / Barrington Gifts St. Anne Tote /

Happy Tuesday, Friends! This is what I would call my “everyday” style.  It’s an outfit that is put together, comfortable (currently a very important factor for chasing two little ones), & of course it’s a “look” made up of what I consider the “classics.”
During the week, you’ll mostly find me in a pair of chic flats, something like these, these or these; however, if we’re out and about on the weekend (like pictured above – we had just been out to lunch with our boys!), I’ll throw on something more fun, like these mules. And, to think I used to wear heels everyday before kids! Right now, my heels are reserved for church or date nights out. These are my new favorite pair of mules right now, mostly because the natural nubuck color goes with every outfit I wear, and the best part is that they come in 3 additional colors! Oh, and let’s not forget to talk about this bow sweater that’s a complete designer dupe. It’s so cute! It comes in 6 colors, too. I’m thinking of also adding the grey color to my closet right now.

What’s your “everyday” style?

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, Friends! This week has flown by, and I’m not complaining one bit! How was your week?
We are in the process of cleaning things out around our house & making donations. I’m all about “simplicity” around here. This includes my closet. Yikes! Anyone else feel this way?

Here’s another edition of “Friday Favorites” for you!

Voluspa Maison Blanc Candle – Macaron

I love burning a candle while I’m cooking, and I think this one might be the next scent I try out.

Halogen Bow Back Sweater

Does it have a bow? It has three bows! This sweater is adorable, and it also comes in several, happy colors too!

Dolce Vita Katina Mule

These mules are so fun, and classic at the same time! They come in 4 colors.

Tory Burch Rope Knot Stud Earrings

Delicate & pretty traditional stud earrings. Love them in the gold!

Happy Weekending!!

Pink Lady

J.Crew Lace Top / Similar J.Crew Cropped Pants / Similar J.Crew Coat / Target Cateye Sunglasses / Ann Taylor Pumps (similar) / Monogram Elisabetta Slouch Handbag / Similar Kate Spade Gold Watch

If you can’t tell by now, I love the color pink. And if it’s done well, I love the color in pretty much every hue. I usually like to wear pink through accessories, and I have a few pink items on my current wish list like this pair of earrings, these, and this handbag is gorgeous! It’s a great way to brighten up this time of year, & obviously it’s nothing but perfection for Valentine’s Day. It looks chic paired with a monochromatic look like the all black I’m wearing, all navy, or you can even pair pink with red, like seen in my last outfit post here. The list could go on and on. And, it’s a more versatile color than most think. It’s simply “happy!” Wouldn’t you agree?
I bought this J.Crew coat years ago; however, there are still a ton of similar styles like this, this and this is a beautiful investment for your closet as well.

Happy Wednesday, Friends!

Friday Favorites

T.G.I.F! Short weeks are amazing, aren’t they? It does feel good to be back into a normal “routine” this week, and now I’m so ready for Spring! Ha! However, with as cold as it is right now, I’m enjoying being forced to stay cozy inside with my family.
This weekend we have no plans, and I cannot wait! We actually took our Christmas decorations down last weekend. And, I would normally leave our decorations up through January 6th, but we took them down early, so we could just relax this weekend!

Here’s another edition of “Friday Favorites!”

Neutrogena Hydro Lip Treatment

This is the BEST lip treatment for dry, chapped lips. My lips have been so dry with the really cold temperatures we’ve been having lately. I wear mine underneath my lip gloss.

BaubleBar Tassel Earrings

The happiest pair of earrings that make me think of Spring, and warmer days ahead!

Zella Twisty Turn Tee

I have one of these tees in a coral color, and I cannot tell you how many times I layer it over workout tops to actually workout in, or just to run errands. I went up a size, simply because in my workout clothes, I like a longer length, and a looser fit.

Ellen Tracy Faux Fur Satin Down Coat

I bought this down coat last year (on sale!), and it’s the warmest coat I own! I love it. It also comes in black!

This quote says it all!

Happy Weekending!!

Blushing Navy

Wide Leg Pants (Vintage) / Loft blouse / J.Crew Navy Coat / Ann Taylor Velvet clutch (sold out, similar) / Ann Taylor Bow Pumps / Kate Spade Gum Drop Pearl Studs / Kate Spade Watch (similar)

Happy New Year! I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday season!

We’ve had some pretty cold temperatures here lately, so wearing a dress or even a cute winter skirt isn’t really an option right now (or at least not a warm one!). So, I found these wide leg, wool pants as an alternative in the back of my closet. And, I quickly remembered how much I loved them again for several reasons. Besides keeping my legs warm on a very cold evening out. They’re pink, and there’s nothing I love more than wearing pink & red together. How about you?  It’s so fun & chic at the same time. Now, even though I bought these pants awhile ago at United Colors of Benetton, there are still so many great options like these, these and this pair is a steal. Now, I know that the wider leg is a little bit more dramatic; however, it’s also very flattering when worn with heels, and is another classic alternative to the heavily worn skinny pants we always tend to “go-to” when pinched for time. It’s good to switch things up a bit, don’t you think? I do.

Side note: I have to ask you, since it’s a new year, are you big on making new year’s resolutions? I recently came across this old article, and I think it’s a much better option. I always have high goals set for myself, and of course there’s always a long list of all of the things I want to accomplish, things to do better, etc., but this article talks about a different way to look at resolutions, and I’m on board. How about you?

Happy Wednesday!

Loving Lately

Happy Wednesday, Friends! I wanted to drop in and say “hi!” during the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. I’m really trying to slow down & truly enjoy the “moments of the season.” I hope that you & yours are doing the same as well!
Instead of giving you another “gift guide,” I thought I’d share with you a few things that I’m “loving lately” for a little bit of a lighter post. I don’t know about you, but sometimes reading all of these “gift guide” posts starts to stress me out about all of the things I have left to do on my list. Anyone else feel this way? Of course, we’re all looking for the perfect gifts for our loved ones (and having help is amazing), but sometimes it’s nice to stumble upon that “perfect gift” on our own, and get that really excited feeling knowing that “yes, this is it, they’ll love it.”

Here’s what I’m “loving lately!”

Leslie Odom Jr., Simply Christmas

His album is amazing, so classic & relaxing for Christmas! Download this album, you won’t regret it, trust me!

These mules are the most comfortable pair of flats that I’ve ever worn. So worth the $24.99! They come in a blush color as well!

 Leopard-print Cup

How happy is this cup? I LOVE coffee/tea, & pretty much always have a cup of coffee in my hand (or one that I’m re-heating multiple times a day), so what better way to make it more fun & girly, right?

Moroccan Oil Dry Shampoo

My hair stylist introduced me to this dry shampoo, and oh my, it not only smells heavenly, it works beautifully too!

Hallmark Christmas Movies
I’ve been watching this channel non-stop in the evenings! My poor husband! I literally know what’s going to happen within the first 5 minutes, but I STILL end up watching the entire cheesy movie until the end and even cry, every time! I’ve been watching this movie channel for many, many years. I love feel good movies, especially centered around the magic of Christmas, and I know that I owe my husband a lot of his movie picks after the holidays are over! Poor guy!

Kate Spade 2018 Planner

These planners are great (tons of space available to actually write), and I still write everything down. Old school, I know. I think this is a fun one, even though I actually make a point not to be late. However, if I’m late, it IS probably because I’ve changed my outfit a few too many times. I’ve been guilty of this since the second grade! SO, this might be the planner for next year.

Paper Source Tea Towels

Our oldest is obsessed with puppy dogs, so these “happy howl-iday” tea towels make us pretty darn happy everyday in the kitchen! (I also happen to be pretty obsessed with dogs, too!)

Twilly d’Hermes

I think I have to ask Santa for this for Christmas. In one of my Nordstrom orders, I received a sample of this, and it smells amazing. Even my husband noticed how good it smells, which says something!

Faux Fur Stole

I love the warmth and how chic these faux fur stoles look this time of year!

H&M Turtleneck Sweater

Skinny jeans/pants & an oversized sweater = my winter uniform! So cozy!

Sonix Tortoise iPhone Case

My iPhone case broke a few months ago, so I’ve been on the hunt for a new case, and this one might just fit the bill.

This pretty much sums “me” up. How about you?

Today’s a gift, enjoy it!
