Friday Favorites

Hello Everyone! Thank goodness it’s Friday, right? I still can’t believe it’s February. Can you? This year is flying by, but I’m trying to stay in the moment each day, especially with our little ones!

Here’s another edition of “Friday Favorites” for you!

ONE
Stripe Ruffle Top

Classic stripes with a twist! This top is really feminine with the updated sleeves. Love the pop of red for this time of year!

TWO
Jeffrey Campbell Mules

I’ve had my eye on this pair of heels for awhile now. I love the cherry red color, and they’d be really chic for date nights!

THREE
Cult Gaia Mini Ark Handbag

This is a great date night clutch for the Spring/Summer months!

FOUR
Faux Fur Scarf

Since the cooler temperatures are around for a little bit longer, this is such a pretty faux fur scarf!

Classic “Everyday” Style

SHOP THE POST:
Halogen Bow Back Sweater / J.Crew Coat / Jeans / Dolce Vita Mules / Kate Spade Watch (similar) / Barrington Gifts St. Anne Tote /

Happy Tuesday, Friends! This is what I would call my “everyday” style.  It’s an outfit that is put together, comfortable (currently a very important factor for chasing two little ones), & of course it’s a “look” made up of what I consider the “classics.”
During the week, you’ll mostly find me in a pair of chic flats, something like these, these or these; however, if we’re out and about on the weekend (like pictured above – we had just been out to lunch with our boys!), I’ll throw on something more fun, like these mules. And, to think I used to wear heels everyday before kids! Right now, my heels are reserved for church or date nights out. These are my new favorite pair of mules right now, mostly because the natural nubuck color goes with every outfit I wear, and the best part is that they come in 3 additional colors! Oh, and let’s not forget to talk about this bow sweater that’s a complete designer dupe. It’s so cute! It comes in 6 colors, too. I’m thinking of also adding the grey color to my closet right now.

What’s your “everyday” style?

Friday Favorites

T.G.I.F! Short weeks are amazing, aren’t they? It does feel good to be back into a normal “routine” this week, and now I’m so ready for Spring! Ha! However, with as cold as it is right now, I’m enjoying being forced to stay cozy inside with my family.
This weekend we have no plans, and I cannot wait! We actually took our Christmas decorations down last weekend. And, I would normally leave our decorations up through January 6th, but we took them down early, so we could just relax this weekend!

Here’s another edition of “Friday Favorites!”

ONE
Neutrogena Hydro Lip Treatment

This is the BEST lip treatment for dry, chapped lips. My lips have been so dry with the really cold temperatures we’ve been having lately. I wear mine underneath my lip gloss.

TWO
BaubleBar Tassel Earrings

The happiest pair of earrings that make me think of Spring, and warmer days ahead!

THREE
Zella Twisty Turn Tee

I have one of these tees in a coral color, and I cannot tell you how many times I layer it over workout tops to actually workout in, or just to run errands. I went up a size, simply because in my workout clothes, I like a longer length, and a looser fit.

FOUR
Ellen Tracy Faux Fur Satin Down Coat

I bought this down coat last year (on sale!), and it’s the warmest coat I own! I love it. It also comes in black!

Loving Lately

Happy Wednesday, Friends! I wanted to drop in and say “hi!” during the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. I’m really trying to slow down & truly enjoy the “moments of the season.” I hope that you & yours are doing the same as well!
Instead of giving you another “gift guide,” I thought I’d share with you a few things that I’m “loving lately” for a little bit of a lighter post. I don’t know about you, but sometimes reading all of these “gift guide” posts starts to stress me out about all of the things I have left to do on my list. Anyone else feel this way? Of course, we’re all looking for the perfect gifts for our loved ones (and having help is amazing), but sometimes it’s nice to stumble upon that “perfect gift” on our own, and get that really excited feeling knowing that “yes, this is it, they’ll love it.”

Here’s what I’m “loving lately!”

Leslie Odom Jr., Simply Christmas

His album is amazing, so classic & relaxing for Christmas! Download this album, you won’t regret it, trust me!

Mules

These mules are the most comfortable pair of flats that I’ve ever worn. So worth the $24.99! They come in a blush color as well!

 Leopard-print Cup

How happy is this cup? I LOVE coffee/tea, & pretty much always have a cup of coffee in my hand (or one that I’m re-heating multiple times a day), so what better way to make it more fun & girly, right?

Moroccan Oil Dry Shampoo

My hair stylist introduced me to this dry shampoo, and oh my, it not only smells heavenly, it works beautifully too!

Hallmark Christmas Movies
I’ve been watching this channel non-stop in the evenings! My poor husband! I literally know what’s going to happen within the first 5 minutes, but I STILL end up watching the entire cheesy movie until the end and even cry, every time! I’ve been watching this movie channel for many, many years. I love feel good movies, especially centered around the magic of Christmas, and I know that I owe my husband a lot of his movie picks after the holidays are over! Poor guy!

Kate Spade 2018 Planner

These planners are great (tons of space available to actually write), and I still write everything down. Old school, I know. I think this is a fun one, even though I actually make a point not to be late. However, if I’m late, it IS probably because I’ve changed my outfit a few too many times. I’ve been guilty of this since the second grade! SO, this might be the planner for next year.

Paper Source Tea Towels

Our oldest is obsessed with puppy dogs, so these “happy howl-iday” tea towels make us pretty darn happy everyday in the kitchen! (I also happen to be pretty obsessed with dogs, too!)

Twilly d’Hermes

I think I have to ask Santa for this for Christmas. In one of my Nordstrom orders, I received a sample of this, and it smells amazing. Even my husband noticed how good it smells, which says something!

Faux Fur Stole

I love the warmth and how chic these faux fur stoles look this time of year!

H&M Turtleneck Sweater

Skinny jeans/pants & an oversized sweater = my winter uniform! So cozy!

Sonix Tortoise iPhone Case

My iPhone case broke a few months ago, so I’ve been on the hunt for a new case, and this one might just fit the bill.

This pretty much sums “me” up. How about you?

Today’s a gift, enjoy it!

Friday Favorites

T.G.I.F!! It’s cold & rainy outside (they’re even calling for a little bit of snow here, crazy!) today. I’ve been busy (who isn’t, right?) with doing all sorts of happy Christmas things for our boys, and I’ve also been trying to finish up some Christmas shopping too. Time is flying by over here. How’s your Christmas shopping coming along?

Here’s another edition of “Friday Favorites” for you!

ONE
Cathy’s Concepts Monogram Herringbone Throw

A monogram throw is a perfect gift for anyone on your list, especially that “hard to buy” person. Who wouldn’t want to cozy up with this throw & a warm cup of coffee every Saturday? I would.

TWO
Minnetonka Suede Moccasin

My husband gets a new pair of these every year. Such a great buy, again & again! They come in three colors.

THREE
J.Crew Velvet Foldover Clutch

Still have lots of parties on your calendar? This velvet clutch (also comes in a bright red) is the right finishing touch to your holiday outfit. Love the stripe ribbon.

FOUR
J.Crew Merino Wool Cable Pompom Sweater

Classic sweater, under $100 with pompoms? Sold! There are so many outfit options with this one. It also comes in red.

FIVE
J.Crew Sequin Ball Drop Earrings

How fun are these earrings? A fabulous gift for that glitz & glam friend in your life (or for yourself!!)!

And, an extra one, because I always like to end my posts for you with a great quote!

Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree

I wanted this cape dress to be the official start of the holidays for Fancy Says Have A Ball. When I saw this on J.Crew, a few months ago, I knew I had to buy it, especially since it was on sale at the time. This is a dress that will take you from one Christmas party to the next. It’s great because you don’t have to wear a coat (or in most cases, keep up with one) to a party. It’s a classic sheath dress topped off with a cape & a bow. What could be better you say? I can’t think of anything more chic to take you into the holiday season.
I am a firm believer in giving each holiday “it’s own time;” however, this Town & Country article pretty much validated that it’s never too early to get into the Christmas spirit. Do you agree? Either way, I can’t wait to unbox all of our decorations, start our Christmas shopping & spread holiday cheer & happiness wherever I go. Thank you, Mom & Dad for a wonderful childhood of memories of Christmas (& Thanksgiving).

Happy Monday & Early Thanksgiving, Everyone!
~Kelly

Classic Winter White

There’s nothing I love more than wearing “winter white.” It’s so unexpected & “new” feeling on a cold, winters day. I bought this ruffle coat when my husband and I got engaged (circa 2009), and I literally wear it year after year. I have learned everything I know about style & how to shop from my Mom. She and I both invest in the more “classic” pieces so that you can wear them with almost anything in your closet. The best part about shopping for us, is the hunt to find those pieces, at great prices. Well, she’s right, again. Now, I’m just wishing I had bought this coat in the black & grey, too. I love to dress this coat up like this look I’m wearing, but I also love wearing it with my favorite jeans, a great pair of pumps & a cozy sweater, too.

Happy Tuesday!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, Friends! We’re finally feeling the crisp, cooler temperatures here, and we’re loving every minute of it. I was so excited about it, that last Sunday, I made a huge pot of homemade chili. Thank you Mom for the best recipe! I’ll post the recipe soon on the blog.

Here’s another edition of “Friday Favorites” for you!

ONE
Velvet Bow Ponytail Holder

If you have long hair, and are short on time, just dress up your ponytail with a bow this holiday season. It’s the perfect finishing touch, and oh so chic!

TWO
Accent Decor Boxwood Wreath

I love decorating with preserved boxwood. I have a little bit all over our house with wreaths & topiaries. You can top this gorgeous wreath off with a bow that matches your Christmas decor, then just hang it on a large mirror or on the back of your front door! I would recommend hanging it inside, since it will not hold up against the outside elements.  You can change the bow out from season to season, too.

THREE
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact

I’m a big fan of this highlighter. I use it year round for the prettiest glow.

FOUR
J.Crew Lace Pants

These lace pants are great for the holiday parties/dinners on your calendar. The best part? They have an elastic waist (shhhh…I won’t tell, if you don’t tell!) I’m pretty sure I haven’t had a pair of pants with an elastic waistband since the 5th grade, except for leggings. Thank you J.Crew for combining style & comfort this holiday season! Ha!

Ruffles + A Bow

Dressing lately has been a little bit tricky since we’ve had a “warm front” during the day time these past few weeks. I’m so ready for boots, cozy sweaters & chic coats, but if you look on the bright side, I will say, it’s a great excuse to wear my Summer tops a little longer. However, I was pretty happy that the temperatures cooled down at night, so I could wear this cute, little bow front coat for our evening out with friends. All in all, it was a perfect outfit for the best double date uptown.

Have a great day!
