In college, I used to wear classic button down oxford shirts all of the time. I would get them on sale at the outlets. I would typically pair these shirts with my citizen jeans, pointy toe heels, pearls & a classic trench coat. Sometimes you would find me in the Sperry Topsider boat shoes, with my jeans rolled up (oh yes, I did…and occasionally I would pop my collar, too). Now that I am not working in an office anymore, I am finding myself gravitating towards this style once again. The other day, I bought a pin stripe shirt, and I am hooked…again! The price is incredibly reasonable, too. I am trying to switch my “career wardrobe” into a more “mom wardrobe.” I still LOVE to dress up, hence one of the main reasons I started this blog, after all fashion is one of my favorite past times. However, with a little one that’s very close to walking, it’s hard to justify wearing “dry clean only” clothing or even wearing high heels on a daily basis anymore. It’s simply not realistic. I can never truly give up my dressier style, but I am learning to take it to a more casual level. This shirt fits the bill. I love the fact that you can pair this shirt with jeans, skirts, shorts or dressy pants. It is definitely a shirt that can be dressed up or down. You can never go wrong with a classic.
